What Is BWRT®?

BWRT® stands for ‘BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®’, a model of psychology and psychotherapy created by UK professional therapist, Terence Watts, MCGI.

It’s a totally confidential method that does not require you to reveal your private information or personal secrets to your therapist and it is carried out in a completely conscious state. It does not use hypnosis or any concepts that might be considered mystical or unscientific - it’s completely logical, practical and down-to-earth, and for it to succeed only needs you to know what you want to change in your life.

Only Certified Practitioners have been trained to deliver BWRT® and all have to adhere to a strict ethical code.

How Does BWRT Work?

BWRT is different from traditional talk therapy. It is a remarkably effective neuroscience-based technique that uses your own personal thoughts and experiences to reprogram your brain's response to stressful situations. BWRT creates rapid change without reliving past experiences or searching endlessly for the root cause. Additionally, if you'd prefer to keep your situation private, you can do so, at no expense to the therapy.

About Ammanda

Hi, I'm Ammanda! I am a BWRT® Registered Practitioner and I am committed to helping my clients create lasting, positive change in their lives. 

Like so many of us, I have navigated my way through very difficult periods in life, and I came to learn about BWRT completely by accident during one of the most challenging times of my life. I was thoroughly amazed at how BWRT helped me to regain control and clarity so that I was better able to navigate what was in front of me at the time. The relief I felt (and still feel) in no longer having these issues in my way has made life so much better - it freed up space for things that I actually wanted to do and made my life so much better. In fact, BWRT helped me so much that I knew I wanted to be able to help others in the same way.

I was fortunate to complete my Level 1 training with Terence Watts  through the International BWRT Institute in May 2024, and I continue to expand my skillset and knowledge through further specialist training in order help my clients work through a wider breadth of issues. 

I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada with my husband, our two children and two cats. I enjoy music, travel, creative projects, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

My approach is professional, empathetic and tailored to you. I will meet you where you are and help you pinpoint the issues you would like to work on. My goal is to help you feel better and move forward in life. I am happy to accept clients worldwide, and all sessions are offered through video conference.
